Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia doctor convicted of murdering three infants born alive and serving multiple life sentences alongside federal convictions for operating a cash‑only “pill mill” distributing oxycodone, alprazolam and codeine, has died at age 85 in state custody at a hospital outside Pennsylvania’s prison system after being held at SCI–Smithfield.
